Hey guys, my name is Frank and I am 28 I ride an 89 suzuki quadracer 250R. I found my new love on craigslist. I got it in amazing condition for being this old the quad needs nothing but I have put a new airbox on it along with an fmf exhaust with expansion chamber and nerf bars. Im getting ready for the summer because I want to try racing it I just need to get to know her a little better. I dont really plan on doing anything else to it for know since aftermarket parts for her are almost non exisitant know but if you guys have any ideas on what I should do let me know shes already scarey fast.

old quadracers are cool but I dont think you will be doing much motocross racing with it. You can set it up for xc racing though. Both hsd racing and burgards racing have long travel setups for the front end. The stock suspension has to go. You are also going to need some new rims and tires. Go for some quality beadlocks on the rear. I think burgards can hook you up with a steering stabilizer and an anti vibe stem too. i have owned a couple of old quadracers, they can become quite addicting.

Welcome to the site. It's always fun to see the old 2-strokes. I never had one, myself.

Welcome aboard, and nice bike.
Lake Hopatcong is pretty close to me up here (I'm about 10 minutes from Mountain Creek).
